As may be assumed I was actually thinking it would be my ship that was destroyed. Alas this was not to be the case.

I hope in to a belt in Airkio and saw a small group of miners busy at work. They all belonged to a small corp called the Tusken Raiders. It consisted of an Orca pilot named Ery'n a Hulk pilot named Bigarian and another pilot named something along the lines of Jackson01012 flying a stabber. Jackson took off almost immediately so does not really play in to the narrative much beyond his existence. The fun begins when I notice that the Tusken corp had popped a cargo container out near the orca. I being the civic minded person that I am swooped down and reloccated their single piece of scordite in to a TEARS sanctioned jet can.

Remember boys and girls that safety comes first.

Over the next little while I would go play with some miners over on the other side of the belt and then zoom on back to relocate the next jet can they toss out to my much more visible and seecure can. It was during this process that Brigarian would repeatedly lock me. I also recieved the following private communique from Brigarian.

Brigarian > why don't u give back what you took anoying little person
Bass Indy > is that any way to start a conversation?
Brigarian > says the thief who just barges in
Brigarian > i'm not scared of you anwyays you moved over there so i have a new can
Bass Indy > How about something along the lines of i appreciate your efforst heres a million please play elsewhere. You would get further with that.
Brigarian > sure
Brigarian > even though
Brigarian > i'm the older player
Brigarian > so i'm not stupid
Bass Indy > never said you were. But your tact is lacking
Brigarian > really ?
Brigarian > you have no idea
Bass Indy > yeah

I know that sugar is nice and all that but I am not sure that Brigarion fully appreciated how important a civil response on his part could be of benefit for him. I was perfectly willing to move on for a mere million dollars.

After the fifth time of relocating a single piece of scordite from his improperly placed jet can Brigarian I think had enough and brought on his alt crystalisa who zoomed to the belt in a merlin and promptly engaged me with guns ablazing as they say. ASs soon as I committed back with a tight orbit and my guns and neut hitting crystalisa back Brigariaan showed exactly how much he thought of his pvp skills and had his flight of T1 hornets attack me as well.

Uh oh its a Trap.

I fairly quickly downed the merlin and then turned my guns on the drones but to be fair he had me in to armor by this time. When I hit internal I aligned to gate and cherfully warped away all the while muttering under my breath, "please stay there please stay there."

I hoped over a system and switched my rifter for my gank battle ship Quoth the raven. :)

I hop back in system and warp back to the belt.

I made several mistakes first off I didnt have a warp in spot next to the Hulk which I was afraid would screw it up but when I hit the belt there he was in all his arrogant glory. Brigarian the OLD character had sat for the 8 minutes it took for me to get back to him while someone had aggression on him... In an asteroid belt like nothing had happened

YES!

I pointed him and yelled in corp that I had a hulk in my sights. I closed the distance and when I got with in 13 K I opened up with 6 Torps. :)

Not to long after this he went Kablooie.

Bet he wished he had paid the 1 million earlier. Actually his arrogance continued.

Brigarian > oh well
Brigarian > i can afford another
Brigarian > not scared dude
Brigarian > your just pathetic
Brigarian > what you gonna do blow up my next ship
Bass Indy > Hi Brig
Bass Indy > ahh the poor brig ran away
Crystalisa > so u wanted money
Brigarian > ran away no
Brigarian > i addedu to friends
Bass Indy > oh nice
Brigarian > and when u get -1.0 standign u get 20 mil on ur head
Brigarian > thats what u get mate
Bass Indy > oh nice
Bass Indy > well that may take a while
Brigarian > good luck gettign ganked
Bass Indy > okay thanks I appreciate the sincereity in that offer
Brigarian > lol
Brigarian > more moneys on your head = you die more its that simple
Brigarian > meanign you don't enjoy the game as much due to ur own fault
Bass Indy > oh so you are upping the more money part?
Bass Indy > goodie
Bass Indy > nice salvage off that hulk
Bass Indy > was hoping for armor plates but can't have everything go my way
Brigarian > then again
Brigarian > i cna just hrie afew mercs
Brigarian > that soudns better
Bass Indy > oh please
Brigarian > i'll do that
Bass Indy > okay sounds good
Bass Indy > let them know my typical home is in dodixie
Bass Indy > and be prepared to go off road
Crystalisa > mien too asshole
Crystalisa > wwhy do u think i have a hyp
Bass Indy > because you suffered from a lack of taste
Crystalisa > lol
Crystalisa > says the guy with the raven
Crystalisa > the most popular caldari ship
Bass Indy > yes it has a certain style
Crystalisa > oh yeah another 12 year old
Crystalisa > looks over firepower
Crystalisa > grow up
Bass Indy > lol

It was during this exchange that I realized Brigarian and Crystalisa were the same person. Who in my opinion was overly confident of his ability to tack anything on with a mining barge. With Tech 1 drones......

I also love the part where he was going to hire mercs to kill me for 20 million. I loved it so much I asked if anyone in corp wanted to make a quick 20 million and I would even offer up my corpse. :) That would have been hilarious. But alas it was not to be.

Weekend is officially off to good start.

P.S. Thanks goes to Solo for being on standby in case I need RR against the Hyperion he threatened me with but failed to take any action with. Shame on you Brigarian, you big tease.

A little Tear and a Ransom

This morning I had some geniune tears. I had the following conversation with him when I flipped his can.

Little Reaper > that isn't nice you know
Bass Indy > I just relocated the dangerous container in to a safe one. Its a free service really
Little Reaper > ah, but only you can access it though
Bass Indy > oh no hats not true the container is accesible by anyone.
Little Reaper > then how is it safe?
Bass Indy > Well the other one was unregistered, it possed a travel hazard. The Tears container is registered so much safer.

At this point he did something with the can and turned a very nice shade of red. I naturally locked target. When I get to it I opened the cargo hold all the while expecting a missle or projectile to go flying through my ship. But Nothing. Nada. The Pics above are what I saw when I dumped it all in the station. At first I saw that there was a least 10 blue prints. But it turns out there wer 82 BPO's and 170 BPC's.

:)

BI
---------------------------------------------

Update.

I made it to Jita with the tags and loose stuff. I'll edit the back story later this week. :)

It's now later this week.

Sunday I decided to roll out and try my hand at can flipping. I need to improve my pvp skills it sounded like fun.

When I get to the system of choice it turns out to be one of those newbie systems with a gazillion asteroid belts. Okay it really was only 18.

I land next to the only station in system and I see a Caldari Navy Raven just dropping a bait can about 50km from the station. I check the local grid and I see two more ships belonging to the same corporation. A Tengu and a Drake.

Well I must not let this go un answered so in the spirit of all thieving gits I raced across the open expanse of space in my Battle Vigil which I have named "Stomper." I swoop down on the can in a nice tight orbit of 1000 meters and proceed to lift this corps attempt at bait. I took about 10 seconds but the Drake pilot finally locked me and fired off a salvo. I had already started to head towards the raven who hadn't locked me yet but if the Drake wants to play so be it. I quickly change course for the Drake and enter a nice tight orbit.

With some glee I open up with my auto cannons and rocket launcher and for complete giggles I warp scramble him to boot.

Eventually The raven and tengu lock me and open up as well. But the key word here is eventually. They were really slow. I had been circling for close to a minue pecking away at the Drakes shields. I had no delusion that I would bust the shields on a Drake with only the two guns and rocket launcher I had. But damn was fun. I also do not know if they had me warp scrambled because it was a moot point. They didnt have webifiers so I could leave any time I wanted. Which I did when my shields worked their way down to 30%. So I peeled off and Ninja'd my way off grid.

The chat log below is what transpired in local. I really am bad at switching to local for anything other than checking for war targets. I also need to start having a gank boat in system with me at all times. It would have been fun to get a T3 Kill.

Well on to the log.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Channel ID: (('solarsystemid2', 30011407),)
Channel Name: Local
Listener: Bass Indy
Session started: 2010.08.01 23:17:53
---------------------------------------------------------------

[ 2010.08.01 23:26:12 ] aedan88 > whyd you runm?
[ 2010.08.01 23:26:38 ] Codebandit > talk to bridget the midget
[ 2010.08.01 23:26:44 ] Codebandit > i didnt run
[ 2010.08.01 23:27:02 ] Codebandit > 0o
[ 2010.08.01 23:27:03 ] Codebandit > o0
[ 2010.08.01 23:27:07 ] aedan88 > not you, the guy that took the can
[ 2010.08.01 23:27:14 ] Codebandit > oh srry
[ 2010.08.01 23:27:38 ] aedan88 > come here...
[ 2010.08.01 23:29:09 ] aedan88 > and i dont see any midgets.. i would be all up on that..
[ 2010.08.01 23:29:10 ] aedan88 > lol
[ 2010.08.01 23:31:49 ] aedan88 > bassindy, whats up?
[ 2010.08.01 23:32:32 ] sapdude > whats up world
[ 2010.08.01 23:32:42 ] Rhys Idris > Your mother's legs
[ 2010.08.01 23:32:49 ] MeAndMyPie > lol
[ 2010.08.01 23:34:14 ] aedan88 > whered you go?
[ 2010.08.01 23:34:45 ] Codebandit > to my room :P
[ 2010.08.01 23:34:49 ] Rhys Idris > Is there any kernite in this system?
[ 2010.08.01 23:35:23 ] Rhys Idris > Anyone know?
[ 2010.08.01 23:35:24 ] Rhys Idris > Hello?
[ 2010.08.01 23:35:28 ] aedan88 > yeah, right over here...
[ 2010.08.01 23:35:37 ] aedan88 > just target me and ill hand it over...
[ 2010.08.01 23:36:01 ] Rhys Idris > You can't kill me just for targeting you. I never did get around to can flipping. Although I did manage to snag cans in the belts and een got my hands on some faction missles from a npc wreck. I'll need to move my battle barge Bugs Bunny there.

ttfn

BI

An interesting weekend

This last weekend had its ups and downs. Friday and Saturday I had tremendous luck in scanning down MR's who were just shoot and scoot runners. They seemed to hit the missions zip thourough killing all in there way and then moving on to the next mission.

Which left me with the wreck fields to myself. I racked in the salvage. yes I can feel the isk's flowing already. Which if you have been reading this blog is code for Bass is about to do something stupid.

I rejoined Suddenly Ninja's. No that wasn't the stupid thing. That is always cool, they are a great bunch of guys who will give you the raven off of someone elses back without a second thought. But that is for later in the post.

No my stupidity was to load all my hard stolen scrap and salvage and head to Jita to sell it all. :)

See it turns out we are war decced. I heard this in comms and went ehh, all the war deccs I have been through with the Corp have always been no shows. So I did not pay as much attention to this as I should have.

I hit Jita warp to zero at station 4-4. When I arrived as you can guess I was 2 salvoed in to non existence. Whats more I was podded back to my home system without even a by your leave. Man that was some seriously fast lock time. It turns out the group who we are at war with is a decent group called The Orphanage. Turns out they are expert at station camping and can get target lock in under 2 seconds on a frigate. In the end my large Bestower with massive sig radius was not a problem for them. The Kill Mail shows I lost 70 mil on that little slip in reason.

Later that day as I am slowly trying to rescrounge some isk together Blithar calls out in corp channel to see if anyone wants a raven.

?O.o?

Hell YA.

He also needed some help with popping some POS modules so I quickly scrounged together a stealth bomber which really was nothing more than 3 torp launchers and a cloak.

After gatheriong everything togethere I made my way over to his system where he had been pot shoting a POS's Mods, apparently when he dropped a ships maintenance array a Raven fell out. When I get there I quickly slip out of my SB and leave it with Blithar and pod myself in to the raven. Oooooh Shiny Lots of things I cant turn on. :) I love me a challenge. I SCoot to the edge of the system and Blithar scouts out if the coast is clear and I dock up the raven and head back to re hop in to the SB to target practice on the bases mods. What would have been better would have been to just use the Raven to drop the remaining structures. Ah well the SB had a cloak and that is always handy to have.

The owner of the tower did show up at one point while we were bashing away but my focus was not the best and I was to slow to target lock his Itty 3 that he had.

I really really am going to have to have one of each level of Gank ship just ready and on stand by from now on.

In short for the weekend. I lost 70 million in loot but with Blithars help I made back 60 million with my portion of the Raven hiest. :)

It is good that my ship ADD pays off once in a while. I can fly all the T1 ships up to Battleship for all 4 factions and can fly Covert Ops for Minmatar and Fly Freighters for Gallente and Amarr.

Til next time

BI

Its feeling a lot like christmas.

I not to long ago decided to name my salvage Vigil Christmas. The reason was very simple. Whenever I hop in to my vigil it feels like Christmas. I warp to mission runners mission and they have usually left me presents all over the place. Tiny little packages of joy and hope. I can often be heard muttering things like oh please oh please have a nice artillery cannon or please can this one have a million+ tag in it. :)

Whenever I hop in to Christmas I know its going to be a good day. Sometimes very short, but good nonetheless.

On a side note I have started skilling up to fly my chosen ship for the forth coming Deathrace 2010. So my second real kill mail.

I quickly jotted down this info yesterday so I could remember what happened.

I was hoping through the belts looking for some excitement in my lil gank Atron (Suishi’s Revenge). I picked the Atron because it was what I had in my hanger. Also it fit the low profile easy to kill mentality that I was hoping someone would find suitable to lock and fire on.

I hope in to the umpteenth belt of the morning and when I land I see a Caracel cruiser powering towards a cargo container out in space about 26 Km away.
Well can’t have this I thought and I am proud to say I didn’t even hesitate. I was powering my lil Atron that could right off the cuff before I started to add up the tactical situation. That’s me leap before I look.

When I get to the can I grab a chunk of the cargo containers contents, which in this case was just of 300 units of veldspar. I had to leave the 9000 units in the container, simply didn’t have room. As soon as I had the veld in my hold I jettisoned it with the intent to flip the rest of the original cans contents in to my much more environmentally friendly container. Just as I was preparing to grab the rest….

BAM

He shot me!

They never shoot me, but HE SHOT ME!

Right. Not gonna stand for that. I lock target on him and engage my J5B Warp Scrambler and commence to orbit him at 1000 meters. Now the truly fun part is that only 10 hours earlier I had finally learned the skills necessary to use tech 2 small projectiles. *** Insert Cheshire Grin Here *** I open up with both Tech II 200 MM cannons and let er rip. I was using barrage ammunition and it just didn’t seem to be doing the damage I thought it should. After about 30 seconds I swapped the orbit out to about 2km but that only made it worse. All the while he is pounding me with Heavy Missiles. Going out further sped up the damage he was doing to me. With safety first in mind I swapped my orbit down to 500 meters and watched his shields disintegrate faster.

We circled and we danced, well in hind sight I circled and danced and he apparently made a bee line away from there. I watched with some concern as my ships shields vaporized and my armor started to melt and I was still chugging through his shields. But I took comfort in the fact that his ship was a shield tanker and as soon as I bust through the shields that it would even up faster. When I hit half armor the last of his shields vaporized and his armor started to do the whole butter in the microwave routine.

When I hit quarter armor he was down to quarter structure. I did type a pleasant "Hi Nathan," in local but he never responded. In the future I’ll direct convo my vict… err client. In the end his ship asploded and I was left the victor on the field of righteous flippery.

When I looked at the kill mail I realized why I was so successful, he only had two missle launchers loaded. Then I looked at my ship and realized I completely forgot about my lone Hob Goblin 2 that I had ready to launch. Well next time my little precious, you too can fly and cause havoc.

I keep my drones hungry and mean by feeding them a diet of raw Mac motherboards.
Til next time, Fly it like you found it in front of a bank with the keys in the ignition.

BI

----------------------------------------
2010.07.18 this. I'll train up the skills to place a POS. Get my alt an orca and then desend in to a wormhole and set up my brand new Citadel of Evil. MUAhahhahaha.

So that is what I did. Clever little bugger that I am. I read up on a couple noteworthy blogs that deal on living in a wormhole. One even had a checklist of things to do to prepare to live in a wormhole.

I submitted a nice letter to the Corp announcing my moving on and resigned my commission. You have to have corporate permissions in order to manage a POS.

I then started mining ice to help cut down the costs of fuel. I spent about 2 weeks mining and managed to gather about a third of what I required so I bit the bullet and bought the other two thirds. I purchased a Large POS 4 batteries of ECM mods to attach to it plus a couple corporate hangers to handle all that loot I would be getting off the sleepers plus 2 Ship maintenance arrays and last but not least an assembly array so I could manufacture my own ammo while in the rabbit hole.

The idea was find a suitable hole climb in set up the base and then go back to K-Space to get more Ewar modules to hook up to the POS to turn it in to what is lovingly called a Dick Star.

So I loaded my alt up in the orca with the POS and Modules and half a month worth of fuel, I was going to follow in an Iteron 5 with the other half a month worth of fuel. I had loaded in the orca a scan ship, a Cyclone fitted out for PVE and a couple spare frigates and my Zephyr.

The day to launch came and I relocated all my assets to an edge system right next to low sec and began my scanning. Right off the bat I find a Class three Wormhole. Yes and I hope through and do a quick scan and find not a single POS on scan. YES!

Just like that I am in business.

So Grabbing my alt I dive in to the hole. I DUB this space BASSIDLAN. All hail me the EMporer of Bassidlan.

I quickly scoot to a planet near the center of the solar system and spy a moon. It was an ugly moon but I wanted to get in to action right away. So I park in orbit, kick the control tower out and anchor it. Then I wait. It takes a half hour to anchor a large pos. Tick….

Tock…

Tick….

!,

Tock…..

Then with 10 minutes to go BAM!
A Drake and an Oneiros have warped to my location and are opening up on the tower. My lack of pvp skills really shows here as I fumble around in my Itty going oh shit. I tried to hop in to the BC in the Ships Maintenance bay on the Orca. Denied! Apparently can’t do that if it has cargo. So after a couple more excruciating seconds in which the opposition realizes shooting the tower is a bit futile and switches to me in my Iteron. I quickly jettison the load to try and save the fuel and just as the Itty goes in to structure I mange to hop in to my Cyclone. When I say Just I mean Just as in it finished exploding as my pod boards the cyclone. I race out and head full bore towards the Drake.

It’s at this time that I realize my Orca pilot has all 5’s in drone skills and launch the 5 Hammerhead II’s its carrying. The Orca Targets the Onerios. I target the Drake and open up.

Once again my inexperience kicks in and I realize I have no tackle fitted to this ship. Le Sigh. I start pounding on the shields of the Drake and it looks like I may actually be able to break its tank. Right around then the Drake warp’s off. I look around and the Onerios is gone as well. HURRAY!

Yes I rule.

Realizing they may be back I quickly get back in orbit around my tower. The last 27 seconds crawl past. I open the control panel. Set the password for the force field. I start dumping the fuel in to the fuel storage yes I can taste the iskies now. I try to turn the power on.

++?????++ Out of Oxygen Error. Redo From Start.

What???? Oh no. I forgot the oxygen. No I mean really… I forgot the oxygen. All 10000 units of it. I suppose I could just hold my breath in the station right? Apparently the safety protocols on the station did not see it that way and would not power the station up.

About 10 seconds after I realized the level of how fucked up I was BAM!

Yes my friend in the drake was back, but now the Onerios pilot was in a Drake as well. I drove these interlopers in Bassidlan away once I can do it again, right?

No I couldn’t

In about a minutes time I knew I was going to die. So I warped the Orca off just as my cyclone died.

Le Sigh.

It really is rather anticlimactic after this. I play games with the Gankers for a couple hours and manage to unanchor the tower to get it in my hold. I also managed to get scanned down while still in space while logged off. I wake up in station. Yeah that hurt for many, many reasons.

First was the complete set of +4 Implants. Second. I had the scanning skills. My alt was learning them but I did not have a scanner fit to the Orca. You remember that check list. Apparently when I went Whoophee and jumped in to the hole I chucked it in to the air and went nom nom nom nom. Because I pretty much broke every rule on the list. With the predictable outcome of where I now reside station side in a nifty new clone wiser but a bit poorer.

Then as I realize this I log back in with the Orca pilot and as I am pondering what to do I get jumped by two other blokes who managed to scan me down in about 30 seconds. Which was pretty amazing to me. They tore apart the orca in less time then you can say “ Hang on a sec that’s not nice.” Which I promptly didn’t say. I wasn’t about to power their pos with my tears. I had plenty of fuel for them to use instead. So longer story not so short he alt is back in K-Space station side stripped of all those nasty +4 Implants on that Character as well.

But fear not I trudge on. I have managed to acquire enough isk since this little disaster to at least get a new set of Implants for ye’olde Bass. I left myself a scanning ship and my trusty vigil named Christmas. Now with a few Iskies in my pocket again and slowly replacing my lost Billions I shall cast my eyes upon the fun that is Hulkageddon III.

Back in the Goo

Ah its good to be back in the goo. :)

My season of 40k was a mit shorter than usual. Well time does fly.

So I warp in to a belt with my lil Battle barge named Bugs Bunny. Its an Iteron 5 with full tackle and tank and a single Modal Laser with Navy Crystals. :)

I pop in to the belt and I see a ship with a can sitting right next to it labeled "Ore."

Hmm I thought as I burned towards the can at a whopping 90 m/s. When I get with in range I pop the can open and immediately scoop all the contents to my cargo hold. Then I come to a stop 300m away from the osprey whose ore I just grabbed. It didn't take long. Maybe 15 seconds before he starts targeting me. I return the favor. He then actually fires his rocket launcher at me. The rest of the slots had mining lasers. When my lock resolved I opened up with my Single laser and a webber and a warp disruptor and two ecm modules. :)HE then launched some drones and tried to power away. I played around for a bit trying to kill the drones but as soon as I realized that was going no where I went back to pinging his shields in a long drawn out game of I cut you. To help keep him from trying to motorboat away I activated a second webber on him and slowed him way down. It was at this time that he convoed me.

Here is the chat log.

[ 2010.03.06 18:31:50 ] Bass Indy > Nice fight so far
[ 2010.03.06 18:31:54 ] Deathbringer111 > i stopped attacking u
[ 2010.03.06 18:31:59 ] Bass Indy > yep
[ 2010.03.06 18:32:10 ] Bass Indy > 10 mil and I will do the same
[ 2010.03.06 18:32:12 ] Deathbringer111 > so plz stop attacking me
[ 2010.03.06 18:32:43 ] Bass Indy > 10 mil first
[ 2010.03.06 18:32:59 ] Deathbringer111 > not worried about losing this ship
[ 2010.03.06 18:33:06 ] Bass Indy > ok cool
[ 2010.03.06 18:33:22 ] Bass Indy > Well it was nice meeting you
[ 2010.03.06 18:33:30 ] Deathbringer111 > ill just get kill right on u lol
[ 2010.03.06 18:33:42 ] Bass Indy > I know it'll be fun for the both of us
[ 2010.03.06 18:33:47 ] Deathbringer111 > lol
[ 2010.03.06 18:33:57 ] Bass Indy > cya

Not to long after this he imploded. One side benefit to training up for a stealth bmber is that I now can run covert frigates, hurray to scanning bonus'.

I took my cheetah out for its Virgin run and she was dully christened "Probe." :)I succesfully scanned down a BS in about 15 minutes and the system pop was at about 65 people last night.

Yes I am back in business.

It was a raven pilot who studiously ignored me. I swiped a couple guns worth about 3 million in total and then had to call it a night. Sigh. First real salvage in a a long time and I had to go to bed. Damn you work for ruining my game time. Shakes fist theatrically.

Tonight if I can get on earlier I shall take Probe out for a spin and scan some more stuff down and then I shall grab my vigil named 'Christmas' and see if I cant cause some stupidity. Finally in the system of Mara I found an Enyo sitting at a gate. Ah HA I thought to myself this is the perfect setup so I burned towards the nearest planet and engaged my clock.

I set myself in a nice 49km orbit of the enyo. Just as I was about to unload on him a Wolf showed up and started to circle the gate. The Enyo not wanting to be done one up on also started to circle the gate.

Sigh, its never easy being a sub pilot. Well the hound feels like a sub, you slink along undetected and launch torpedoes. :)

So I restrained myself and urged patience. I continued to circle waiting to see what would happen.

After a short while two more ships landed on gate and began circling. A Drake and a Thorax.

Annnnd I circled some more hidden by my comfortable distance. Eventually they all warped off or used the gate just leaving the Enyo by itself sitting by the gate once again. Not moving. By the Gate. I have to admit something was niggling in the back of my head here but I was so high on the possibilty of getting my first solo kill that I plunged head long in to action.

In a flurry of motion I deactivated my cloak engaged my target lock. Primed sensor dampner 1 and 2. Lock resolved Torpedoes away... Warning screen pops up yeah yeah I want to fire dammit, click Yes to agressing. Watch Torpedoes launch and there is that split second where the whole universe is aligned just right and every fiber of my being was screaming YES!!!!... NO, why am I taking damage, he can't possibly have locked my in return that quick. No my armor is gone. NO my internal structure is gone. What the ... and then I see what was niggling in the back of my head the sentry gun was blinking red at me. Sentry gun? Wait does low sec have sentry guns?

OH CRAP ............ NOOOOOOO!

I limp off to a nearby system to the Local buzz of:

WTH???

I had to log after that.

On the plus side I did splurge my last 30 million tuning up a nice covert scanning ship so once again I am able to scan down mission runners. :)

Glass Cannon

I love the Angel Hound. The last couple weeks have been spent doing just that.

I still have not figured out why my scanning is just not hitting the mark. My scanning skills are on hold however; until I finish training to fly a stealth bomber. That training should only take up about 12 days. I decided I like the "Hound" stealth bomber the best so I am currently training up minmatar frigate to level 5, which can only help me in piloting my rifter.

We are at war again, but so far I have not seen hide nor hair of the enemy. Are they deluded in to thinking that they can get some sort of pseudo street credit by declaring against us?

I can see it now, a tough, wearing the latest fashionable brand of dingy merc leather-wear, flexing his well oiled pectorals, “We’re in a war with Suddenly Ninjas.”

The second merc looking suitable impressed, “Careful Brutus Buttimus, those ninjas are sneaky and when you aren’t expecting it there will be hundreds of them ganking you,” he said, while flexing each pectoral in turn.

Shifting uneasily, a single drop of sweat rolling down his pock marked and Instabattle-scarredTM face, Brutus flexes his pectorals more rapidly.

---------------------------

So here is to hoping I get a chance to test my ever increasing battle abilities. 

Worm Holes and when Strippers collide.

Life in the Ninjas is good. Fun group of people to hang out with. My scanning skills need some work still and that plays a huge part in my setback from this last weekend.

I decided to scan down a wormhole hop in to it and see just how deep the rabbit hole goes. The rabbit hole ended up going deeper that I could handle. I scanned down a class two wormhole hopped in to it and it turned out to be a cataclyismic area which gave some nice buffs and the debuffs didnt hurt me in the slightest. While I was in this hole which seemed to only have one POS in it I scanned down another wormhole leading even deeper to another class 2 wormhole. I hoped in to that one and boy oh boy was it loaded. I counted a minimum of 60 distincts signatures when I did the broad scanning. I hope around for a bit making safe spots and scanned a couple of sites down. It was about this time I got a bit antsy and decided to head back to the first wormhole.

When I get to the first wormhole I decide to start hitting the anomalies that I scanned down and a couple of the grav sites I scanned down to see what the sleepers were like.

All in all a Drake (thats what I was flying) can tank the sleep unless a BS showes up. But my DPS is so poor that it took about 40 minutes per wave of sleepers to kill them. However the loot in the long run was worth it. By the time I was ready to leave I had roughly 80 million in salvage and loot in my cargo hold with the majority of the isk coming from 9 units of melted nanoribbons worth approx 6 million each.

This is when the world went pear shaped. The wormhole exit was gone.

gone.

Ack.

Okay dont panic.... no no no panic is okay.

A short time later as I pull myself back up from under my desk I take a deep breath and start to think my options through.

A.) I was out of ammo so working more sites until a way out made itself available was not an option. I did take 5000 missiles in with me but burned through them.

B.) My cargo hold had about 20 m3 to spare in it. Okay not so much an option as a factor weighing in my mind as I rolled around naked on huge piles of isk in my head. Sigh. I swear there was a stripper involved in that little dream sequence.

C.) I did have an expanded probe launcher on my ship.

So with all that in mind I logged for the night hoping the next morning would bring an exit.

---- The Next Morning ----

No exit.

More precisely I found the exit but for whatever reason I could not get it to scan past 74.97%. No matter what I did. So I did what any sane person would do in thease circumstances.

I panicked.

Twenty minutes later I pulled myself out from under my desk. I have a little nite light and a book under my desk in case you were wondering.

I reassessed my situation. Sadly the dream sequence involving all my loots gave way to empty cargo holds and the stripper tuned out to be a mother of 72 children and they were moving in. :|

I decide that the best way to deal with this was to try and see if my scanning over all was down or if it was just for todays wormholes.

After attempting to scan down 10 different sites I never hit higher than 69%. So my scanning was down at least 30% across the board. Ack. I am never going to get out of here. I did not relish the thought of getting my scan skills up. It would take 36 days to get my scan resolution skills up only 20%. Which fell short by 10% of where my scanning was currently hitting.

So with some sadnes I kissed the ISK good bye. I hugged the stripper and her kids and told them I would write. And clicked the self destruct button on my Drake. Then my final sight of the wormhole was the Stripper and kids make a home out of the wreckage of le Drake UNS Botany Bay. I pulled the trigger and shot myself all the way back to home base in Poinen.

Luckily the Drake was insured so I was only out the 10 million for gear on it. No the real pain was the 600 million in implants that I had on at the time. Ah well maybe I'll get some more for my next Bday.

---- Present Day ----

So currently my plans are to get the gear and modules together to go in to the next worm hole better prepared. It probably involves a POS and some serious logistics work. So I have lots of researh today. And skill training.

SNiffles I miss the Stripper.

Suddenly Ninjas

Well good news I was invited in to suddenly Ninjas. After spending the last month or so alone in my one man corp it got reeeeally boring. Its nice to have people to chat too.

One of my corp mates suggested I move to Lustrevik to salvaging in. Man o man was that a good bit of advice to follow. My profit per hour has gone way up. Angels really do drop some nice salvage. Much better than the guristas loot I had been getting.

I also had my first bit of almost hate mail. Two words in the subject line. "Nice MOve"

Yeah its a humble beggining but was still fun. I was trying out a new ship to use so was cruising in an exquoror which I fitted fot salvage scanning and with a target painter. It has a decent size cargo hold so I dont have to run back to base if I start looting. Any how I had scanned down a cnr in a mission and when I jumped to the site the first 4 rooms were absolutely empty. I get to room five and there is nothing left here either except the cnr slowly boating to an Imperial Armory about 110 clicks from me. He was about 30 km awau from the armrory at this time.

I decide to try and out race him to it and maybe get lucky and snag his mission loot. SO I am racing along at a nice clip of 352 ms and if I had paid more attention in 5th grade math i probable could have worked out that there was no way I could beat him to it short of a massive space fairing sheep invasion getting in the way. Which promptly did not happen. Not givig up hope I kept powering to the distant objective with the hopes that maybe slow boating a raven 110 km might induce a sense of afk-ness on his part. So I watched the count down until his distance read the same as the cargo container and stayed there. I clicke don him and viewed from his position and he was just bouncing against the container. With hope in my heart and glee on my lips I dove in and snagged the loot. 20 units of small arms and an Imperial gate pass. :)

I contracted him the gate pass about 1 minute later since I hit warp to home as soon as I had the loot. I asked for 10 million which earned me the letter nice move. Next time I'll ask for 1 million and see what happens. :)Id' rather have the million but will settle for the letter if I can't.

We'll til the next installment.

B.

Hulkageddon 2 ... The continuing story

So last night I was able to sit down in earnest to try and participate in Hulkageddon 2. I tried a new tactic of using a Brutix with 7 medium smart bombs on it. I went the route of 3 emp and 4 Plasma. In hind site I should have just stuck with one type. Love hind site not only does it let you see where you eff'ed up but also helps guide your ass in to the chair on a daily basis.

I I went to the Aakira system last night with Brutix #1 which I had duly named Doom Eagle 1. I found several Ice miners in the Ice belt and promptly dove in to the middle of 3 and triggered the Bombs. First thing I learned is that when you have a 4km diameter bubble if all your prey is more then 2000m from yoou you will miss. Epic face palm inserted here. The second thing I learned was that it takes concord a little longer to dismantle your ship. I lived for a solid 20 seconds. Third with out capacitor boosters you only really get 2 volleys off. Fourth that Doom Eagle 1 was a really stupid name. Well I had to stare at something while my failure unfolded around me. Fifth that if you buy a brutix for 18 million and spend 8 million to insure it the pay out is 27 million. Yes before equipment I made a profit.

With that information I went back to my home port and promptly put together Doom Eagle 2 (In spite of observation number 5) with a few minor improvements like 3 capacitor boosters each loaded with 1 cap booster 800.

Setting out in Doom Eagle two I started cruising systems looking for more prey to die against. I eventually found it in the form of a Badger Mk 2. I set my orbit of the Badger to 800 metters. See I can learn, that is well with in the 2km range I need. I then engage the smartbombs in a nice cascading sequence. and when the Cap hit 50% I engaged the first cap booster. I started up with pretty lights smashing against his shields and then concorde showed up and I sat there watching even more vibrant pretty lights. Doom Eagle is really a stupid name. Sigh.

I am dismantled and my prey the luck Badger suddenly aligns and warps out. Well damn. I ended up talking with the pilot in local after that. Apparently he had fallen asleep while mining and when he heard strange noises he jolted awake and made a dash to the station hoping he could get away from a pirate. :) Ima piwate. lol. I found out that I only took him down to 50% over all. But I did get 5 volleys of the smartbombs off before I emptied up nd split. I didnt have the heart to tell him that I had been dead for a good half minute before he alinged and warped out. Its fun to let him think that it was closer than it was.

So all in all I spent 20 million in the last 2 nights and still no miner kill.

On that note I dismantled Indy Reclamation Services and after casting around for a Player corp to join I put in my application with the Suddenly Ninja crew. :)I should be hearing back soon if I can join or not. I might already have been accepted but I forgot to give my id code when giving over my api for the application. Yeah that looks good on the resume. LOL. Oh well all is good.

I may have to go earn some isk tonight.

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://aclockworkscream.blogspot.com/2010/01/hulkageddon-2-continuing-story.html' title='Hulkageddon 2 ... I lost one attempting to solo take a mackinaw but that didnt go so well. Was fun as hell but I was promptly podded and sent on my way home. Tonight I am going to hook up with another reprobate to see what mischief we can do. But I am going to have to drag all my stuff out of jita to my more traditional base of operations. My sec status is at -.01 . :) I am officially negative status.

For my current setup I had gone to jita and bought enough equipment to build myselg 10 cheap Threshers. I put 7 ac 200's with 4 rounds of republic fleet emp s ammo in them. I never get more than 4 shots off so no point in waisting the ammo. I probably should pick up some rocket launchers so i dont waist the missle slot the lil dessies have.

It will be interesting to see how far in to the week it gets before Hulks start becoming scarce as peope clue in to the nastiness happening around them.

It was funny last night I parked in the middle of a bunch of Ice Miners and sat there for like an hour and they just carried on around me. All the while I was reading the Hulkageddon 2 chat room and listening to the pilots talk about ganking exhumers and calling out locations. I felt like yelling in local dont yuou guys know what today is!

:)

Ah well say luvie.

Til later.

BI

Salvage Carebearing and wistful nights.

This last month has been fairly slow for me. The holidays have no come and gone so back to the happy dance of typing away.

I have gone a bit carebear in my occupation for the past couple weeks. You see I am a bit of a jack of all trades. I sing I dance I strip to polka music. Pretty much anything in the name of making ISK.

With that in mind I have gone back to my roots and have begun the process of finishing my training to be able to fly a hulk. I did get derailed for a week or so in the middle to finish training covert ops so that I could fly my loverly viator. To get side tracked I took my Viator out to see if I could do some can flipping in my little transport that could. Actually I named the ship "Far Country."

I hoped in to the first belt in the system I was in and there was an un escorted can, well well well I thought to myself. I ambled on over at my brilliant speed of 232 and looke din it and there was 55,000 units of Pyroxes in it. Nice... I jettison some loose change in the cargo hold and flip the contents of the unescorted can over in to my can.

I thought to myself well this should be interesting. And low and behold it was. About three seconds later (probably longer) a stealth bomber starts lobbing missles at me. During the first minute of the engagement I was actually winning. I had the full tackle set on my little Viator so I had him scrambles and webbed. Which put me in the position of dictating range to him. The second thing for those not familiar with transports is they mount cruiser sized weapons. Yes a single cruiser sized weapon. In my case that was a railgun.

Where was I ... Oh Yes i was burning in to the stealth bombers armor and had it down to abouot a quarter left when he had a friend in a rupture warp in and they start pounding me. My shields bled off in no time but I have decent armor resists so they were choking on my armor. I knew that if I didnt do something quick they were going to blow my little loverly ship up in no time at all. So I started to yo yo the rupture. He had me warp scrambled but not webbed. So I would zip out and then zip in trying to get distance from him and I was spamming the warp to button on a randow stargate like a rabbit in heat. O.O umm... yeah... well you get the picture. After doing this for about a solid minute with multiple false warping to stargates my engines suddenly spooled up all the way just as my would be assassins tried to convo me.

They open the window I type in a nice

HI :)

To which they replied

nvm.

Yes I foiled a ransom attempt.

Sigh that was a wonderful afternoon.

Okay back to the original topic. For the last little bit my Erronious ways of Ninja Salavaging have not been very fruitful to the point where I needed to find myself a part time job to support my Ninja habits.

Back to the mining I go. Besides its letting me catch up on my reading. So sometime in february I will be able to pilot a hulk and earn myself some nifty little ships to play in. Then back to the Ninja.... maybe in a Dramiel that I have been reading about. :)

I'm all Growed up.

Last night I tracked down this choice little site that a MR in a raven and catalyst were farming. I go along my merry little way and start plucking the choice targets. The catalyst never locked me so I grabbed some nice loot and kept an eye on him. Fortunately I have a habit of orbiting the wrecks at full speed. This keeps my speed up and my transversal high. It is also good in that when you succesfully salvage the wreck you dont come to a stop, you wing off at high speed in what ever direction you were last heading.

Well the catalysts big brother came in to the room and launched a salvo of missles at me. I didnt see him the list of wrecks shoved him down to he bottom of my over view. But after I got the what the out of my system I saw he only took out aboout a fifth of my shields. I love the vigil. Thank you Aiden Mourn for suggesting it. Anyhow to make this overly long story shorter, we played cat and mouse over the next hour were I snag most of the salvage and good loot from the large wrecks while the Raven pilot trundles back and forth between rooms trying to get rid of me.

After the mission was all cleared out I ran in to the Raven just outside of the station that I base at. He tried to convo me which I ignored and then almost immediately he tried to convo me again. I wonder does it cost each time you try if the message gets rejected. Anyways when he convoed the second time I accepted and it boiled down to me:> Hello... then he goes:> I hope you enjoy being perma wardecced. and I was like:> What ever helps you sleep at night.

So in the end was mildly amusing but glad I was able to share my concern for his well being.

I really need to learn how to copy and paste chat logs after the fact.

He SHOT at me!

So Over the holidays I did a bit of salvaging and missioning. In one salvage attempt a pilot in a tempest opened up on my vigil at 100Km. I was like serious? And he apparently was for the next 15 seconds. Then concord showed up and escorted him straight out of his battleship. Was the funniest thing ever. Overall the salvage hhas been pretty bad this last week. Apparently the mission runs in Dodixie have learned from the SN crew. In ever mission that I managed to scan down with my meager skills they have taken to destroying the wreck to deny me the loot. Its an effective way. to deal with us parasites. No food we dont stick around. So that is exactly what i did. I have moved back to my previous haunts for my salvaging attempts. I'll see if they have caught on in this quieter area. Fortunately I have amassed a little bit of isk. Not sure what I'll do next if this dies as a viable option for me. I am trying my hand at trading but I think I am doing it wrong. I may in the end go back to mining... Sigh.

Salvaging with Ninjas

I went out on an op this last saturday. The peoples of Suddenly Ninja were kind enough to let me tag along. I had read a post about previous ops that Aiden Mourn was FC'ing.

I had a blast we operated out of a safe spot with an orca that was on again off again. The pilots city was hit by a blackout. :|. But it all worked out in the end. We swarmed Dodixie MR for a solid 5 hours, With two pilots taking turns to scan down the MR's. During one of the runs I had the MR lock and fire on me as I looted. I ran back and grabbed a rifter to try and pin the MR in place. Hypcent another pilot was going to rep me but our timing was off and I had my lovely little rifter went pop as well. After that I stuck to just salvaging and helping out as best I could. Towards the end of the day we ran in to a nice cluster of MR's in 3 battleships. They unfortunately were much better than any of us and popped two of the SN Battleships. So all in all the SN crew had a serious set back in terms of ship count. I decided I would work on maybe piloting a repping BS. So for future ops with the SN crew I might actually be able to help.

Experiment

Last night I decided to do an experiment.

It all came about when I decided to try and scan down a cosmic anomaly. I succeeded in doing this and it turned out to be a gas cloud. So in the spirit of my origins I grabbed a bestower with a harvester attached and headed out. When I arrived at the cloud I noticed a mark 2 badger just sitting about 100 km off the port bow. Well it didnt seem to be actively maintained so I decided on the spur to conduct my experiment. I wanted to see if I could maybe gank the bugger before I was in turn ganked by concord. Desarian of eve-bloggers channel figured that if it was untanked and I was using T2 blasters it would take abouot 5 salvoes. With that in mind I logged on my alt account and decided I would get 2 destroyers and do the best I could. I loaded each with 8 200 mm auto cannons and I bought enough ammo so that each cannon could fire 3 rounds of arch angel nuclear. I then flew to the badger and set myself to park at the best optimal range I could. I then mashed all the buttons. Whee the silly little warning about causeing illegal acts came up. I guess I never fired on anyone with this character before. Long story short I probably could have gotten 4 salvoes off but in the end concord killed me and I spent 15 minutes in the station waiting out my not nice status. When I got back to the badger it was not damaged in the slightest.

Sigh...

Some day I'll kill something other than a rat.

Really I will ....

On other news I heard back from Aiden Mourn about joining up for a Ninja op tomorrow. He has to check with his CEO but I should be good to go. SO tonight I'll load up my hauler the October Country and head on down to Dodixie.

o7
Bass

Corporation and going broke.

Well I decide to try my hand at setting up a new corp. I decided the new corps name should be Indy Reclamation Services. My SO laughed when I said that. SO I looked closer and it turns out that I made the IRS. Yeah that wasnt actually intentional. But humorous none the less. I made a fair amount of isk over the weekend but I promptly spent it on implants so i actually bottomed my account out and had to sell a couple items out of the hanger.

Last night I learned something important when looting mission sites. First off do not break procedure. Always bookmark a wreck as soon as you enter a new room then deal with what is there. Second if you have a cargo hold full of battleship salvage dump it before cleaning the next room. I say this becaue i entered the last room in a mission and saw that the sentry guns were still alive but they were 114km from me. I also saw more battleship wrecks about 80 Km from me and my greed kicked in. When I was 96 km from the sentry guns they targeted me and blew me away in one strike. O.O

They can do that? Apparently so, to make matters worse I forgot to bookmark the wreck so that when I warped to the station I saw the MR sitting just outside of dock which meant the mission site disappeared. ACK. So I lost everything I had gathered. After I put together my second vigil I went back to the earlier rooms and cleaned up what was left. All in all I still made about 5 million for the evening but it could have been oh so much more. Sniffle.

Later last night I was just cruising around and I found a wreck on a low sec gate filled with 100k rounds of ammo and almost 200 cap boosters. SO I spent the rest of the evening ferrying it to the nearest Highsec station. Its about 600k in revenue, but it was free so that is cool.

While I was doing that some pilot in a blackbird kept target locking me but I stayed near the gate which seemed to keep him subdued. :) I love me some sentry guns.

Cha - Ching

Saturday was a great day for salvage operations. I almost immediately scanned down two sites that had mission runners going at it. I scanned down the first site and it was only about half finished so after book marking a random wreck I went and grabbed my lil probe whom I call ICU Invetigations. I found a second site and hopped in to my trusty Vigil ICU Colletions. And set off. The second site was littered with wrecks and no MR. :) So I grabbed it all. By the time I finished with that and went to the first site it also was just a mass of wrecks and no MR. so once again I whistled a merry tune as I gathered all the space debris in to my hold and then I set off to market. I cleared a grand total of 42 million. :) Nice Nice Nice. I'll be able to afford that shiny new ship I have been eyeballing for a bit. I am currently triajning up to be able to pilot battleships. After that I will go back to learning how to fly blockade runners. :)I need to learn the covert ops cloaking skills. Then I will be close to going exploring. Maybe even try and get some loot from W-Space.

KaBleohey

Well I managed to squeeze an hour or so in salvaging last night. Not the best pickings but something very interesting happened. The MR (I am slowly learning the Ninja terminology) was plugging away at the rats and then when he killed a Rat he tractored the wreck to himself.

I thought cool buffet is served. I knew I wasnt going to get the loot he was emptying everything else out but there was salvage to be had. So after reading of a similiar manuever off one of the Ninja Blogs I set course and orbited the MR at 1000 meters. I then proceeded to salavage all the wrecks he had so thoughtfully swept together for me.

Apparently though the MR took offence to my presence and warped off letting the room aggress on me. Now this has happened a few times to me before so I know this game, and warp off to my home base and wait a minute or two. Then warp back and repeat. After the 4th time the MR gave up that tactic and tried something new. Which I had not seen before. He targetted his wrecks and started blowing them up.

Well I can play games too. I set an orbit around him again and as soon as he killed a rat I would zip out in my speedy little frigate and salvage the wreck as he tractored it in to try and empty the can. Ahh says I, he likes the inner bit. So once all was said and done I looted all but 3 of the wrecks and made my way back to base and docked up for the night. No tears or pleas or blubbering but I still felt like in some sort of meaningful way reached out and touched someone. I truly hope they appreciate the experience. :)

Oh added thought here, I have been reading several blogs that members of Suddenly Ninja post and I went with a setup recommened on one of the posts. My apologize to the original author I forgot where I read it at( edit... I actually found it again. :0) So thanks to Velocity Prime.) Nevertheless I am now using a vigil as my salvage vehicle. I have 3 salvager 1's an Afterburner, Two over drive injectors,, and a Beta expanded cargo hold. I am zippy. It clicks at about 1000 m/s. I also started using a probe to be my scanning ship to soon to tell if it has made any real difference but I did manage to fit two gravity capacitors in it.

Hmmm Missioning and Suddenly Salvage

Well for the last week I have been doing missioning. Its been a little bit of fun. But they are all level 1 missions and I am running a destroyer with 4 lasers two salvagers and 2 tractor beams. Been salvaging my own wrecks as I go. I have been doing the starting missions that newbs get to do. I went through the cash for capsuleers series of 10. Then I knocked out the Keeping the books series of 10 for couriers. Now I am about half way through the making mountains out of mole hills. Its been easy so far. When ever I have a mineral mission I take out my retriever and mine everything at the site which isnt usually enough. But I have been able to skip a couple missions simply because I have extra trit or veldspar on hand.

Last week I tried my hand at doing some Ninja Salvaging. NIIIIIIIIICE. I scanned down about 10 different sites so far. And overall I have pulled in over 100 Million. I admit I take the rodent approach to salvaging and loot. If the mission runner is still in the room I will only look in the cans and if what ever is in the can is worth over 500,000 I'll grab it and warp to the base and ride out my aggression count down. If nothing of true value I just salvage away and chuckle whenever they target me.

Some of the mission runners have this cute little tactic that when they notice me scooping the large wrecks. they warp out and let the room aggress me. But that is a fun game, I warp out drop off what I salavage and then head back after a couple minutes. Then rinse and repeat as often as necessary. One thing I always do right off the bat whenever I hit a new room that a missioner is working is to bookmark the nearest wreck. That way if the missioner drops the mission or whatever I have access to any dead rats left in space.

As far as ships go I have been using an industrial loaded with a scanner to scan down the sites. Then I hop in to my lil destroyer and scoot in to the site to salvage with. I did mistakenly try to salvage in an industrial one time. When I failed to leave on time as the remenants of the room aggressed me and lost my ship I went hmmm okay speed and agility are needed here. Luckily it happened at a place I bookmarked and I was able to retrieve half of my sisters probes back and the launcher. I am still new enough that they are expensive. :)

Well til next time.

Ship Log 1

Well after spending the summer in hibernation I am back at it. To catch up I have been spending time in a retriever appropriately names Miss Faire. I have cranked up my mining skills sufficiently to gather about 4-5 million on a casual evening of mining. I have been funding a partner (Alistair Amras) through his education so that we can open up a salvaging arm to this operation. I also started up my own corporation. Richthofen Aeronautical Industries. Ticker is RAI..

I have been reading a well write blog for a corporation called Ironfleet Salvaging and Towing. Unrepentent can flippers. Absolutely love it.

Alistair was doing some light salvaging the other night in his Thresher when he hopped in on a belt with a retriever and a couple combat drones circling. AS soon as he scooped some of the loot from the ever present wrecks the a small squad of two rats hopped in and aggressed Alistair. Well apparently the retriever left the field somewhere in the middle of the fight. When the fight was over the retriever pilot was just warping back in to the belt. With a hint of warning Alistair hit dock on the only station in the system. Which was lucky the retriever pilot had returned with a Bomber and launched a torpedo at Alistair. Seriously? A Bomber? Well it made for a couple of seconds excitement. :)

Station Log # 1

Station Log 1:3:12:14:14 Local

I am a great believe in re using names, saves so much on Brain capacity, or it oculd be I am to unimaginative to constantly crank out something new whenever I pick up a new toy. So this morning I look out the windows of my suite over looking the docking bay and I gaze at my pride and joy. The Navitas a small Tech I frigatewhich I am hoping will be the key to my future.

It is said that when you fall in love with space all ships are beautiful and that sums up my opinions of my Navitas. I freshly christened her "The Lemming Falls" this morning. I named her after the final engagment in my former career that earned me enough of a bonus to afford a capsule capable frigate.

Now I am off to haggle with the merchants on this stations promenade.

BI
